A small window to our world.
Madison is growing up so big and healthy. I know this because she is hitting all the "normal" milestones because we have had some MAJOR interuptions in our eating and sleeping patterns...not to mention mood swings. For about the past 2 weeks she has stopped and started and stopped and started eating solid foods. Then then there has been the "night" waking coming and going for about 3 weeks now. Her 2-3 naps a day has taken a hit as well...past couple of days have been only 1 nap in the morning which makes for a SUPER long day. When she is teething, which she has been on and off, for the past 2 weeks...this sweet lil Princess can be happy and laughing and then (like a light switch) screaming and crying. The cold weather has been an adjustment for her as well. She is an "outdoorsy" kinda girl and without her walks she is just not the same. Cabin Fever is a cold-hearted bitch with no soul. It has only snowed once her so far but when it did, and this being Texas, by the time the wind died down enough to take her out in it...it melted.
She is very vocal these days. She will laugh if you laugh at her and then sometimes she does it just out of no where. She loves to scream in a happy high pitch tone. She hummms a lot and says momma, ma, mam, momma, ma, ma but she doesn't put it together with any kind of understanding that I am Momma. No sign of any Dada yet or any other words.
She has started learning how to drink from a sippy cup and eating puffs. We are considering having some fun with food and seeing what happens when we give her actually green peas to eat with her hands. I have also tried to give her some of the same food we eat...like a mushed banana but she prefers her baby food. She is quickly moving into 9 month size clothes as well.
We are happy and healthy if not a bit tired lately.
